lyrics
I'll be back
They came from the future
A dystopian land
Where your hopes and your dreams
Fall apart in your hands
Destruction
Running for their lives
Take a deep breath so you can breathe
One last time
When will you understand
that this world isn't safe?
No matter where we run
there will be no escape
When will you understand
they're killers filled with hate?
They can't be reasoned with
there's no fate but what we make for ourselves
The future flashes in our eyes
I'd rather be blind
We have no place to hide
Please save our lives
From the flames that consume the night
We will fight
Why am I here in this dark forbidden place
That I call home (That I call home)
I need to leave and find a place to go
but I'm alone (but I'm alone)
I know it's time, time for me to move on
leave it all behind, everyone is gone
The future isn't set, now come with me
Come with me
Go
Come with me if you want to live
The future flashes in our eyes
I'd rather be blind
We have no place to hide
Please save our lives
From the flames that consume the night
We will fight
They're going insane our city is in flames
we lost all hope for humanity
Torn away
From what matters more a perfect reality
Torn away
What a tragedy
The future flashes in our eyes
I'd rather be blind
We have no place to hide
Please save our lives
From the flames that consume the night
We will fight
Realistically, I should have bought this album after the first 100 scrobbles of In Reach (Out of Touch), but it's never too late to do the right thing. This has a different atmosphere (and story) than The Lost City, but it's just as good and just as melodic. porcelainheart-
Supplementing sasscore insanity with bolstered vocals and pop-punk songcraft, the California band are kicking ass and breaking boundaries. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 21, 2024
